What a strange world… Can you play the game and describe the place?

Have a go at this weird and wonderful game. It’s quite tricky, but see what you can do. Can you leave a comment on this blog describing the setting for this game?

  1. My students really liked plying Samorost 1 and I am considering buying Samorost 2 and installing on a computer so the students can access it. I was wondering if this game might be better. What do you think?

I don’t know where that is in the picture, but I think I got stuck right close to there last summer when I was driving around on some old logging roads. The people around there were kind of short, green and funny looking. Couldn’t understand a word they said.

Oh, I get it – click on the picture. Go to the game. That is one neat looking game. I got a little ways in. Bad. Very bad. Must stop playing. Must do report cards. Just a couple of minutes more….

  4. Mr. Smuin says:

must go. it’s almost 8:00 PM here and almost 4:00 AM at your place. OK, where am I? What is my time zone? Hint: Canada.

    bye

I must admit, I did not try the game- the graphic was enough to create stories that can go so far.
    Imagine living inside the structure…
What makes the landscape so forbidding? What is happening with the weather?
Can anything live in this setting?
What planet is this on if not earth?
The time period may tell the whole story…
If I visit this area, can I ever go home?
Is the conflict man vs. nature?
Oh, the possibilities- I guess one way to find answers would be to play the game- another would be to rite a story.

Hello Mr Sloan & Year 2 students. I loved playing Samorost but, I must admit, I just can’t get the hang of Machinarium! :-( I couldn’t get pas the 1st screen. Maybe some of you could give me some tips :-)

By the way, well done on your assembly. You have done some very interesting learning on slavery.

I really like this game. The setting is spooky, dark and dangerous. I’m not sure if it is set on Planet Earth. I think it might be set in the future because of all of the rubbish and strange machines. Jack.
