Bayeux Tapestry and missing dragons!!

This week we have been very busy! First the dragon and the dragon eggs have gone! We think they dragons have gone to the worlds that we created so we wrote stories about what our dragons may be doing.

It has also been the anniversary of the Battle of Hastings – it has been 951 years since the battle. To remember this we have looked at the Bayeux Tapestry and started to recreate tapestry to show someone in 951 years what the Year Two children and grown ups of Chorlton Park look like and the things that we like.

What have you enjoyed this week?

What facts can you remember about the Bayeux Tapestry?

I liked making clothes for the children because I enjoy cutting fabric to make an outfit. The Bayeux Tapestry was 70 meters long.

Theres horses and men all around. It shows what happened during the battle of Hastings. My Mamie lives near to Bayeux and when we next go to France I am going to go and see the tapestry with her!
