What is the Year 2 blog?
Chorlton Park School is the largest primary in Manchester with over 700 children. We are in the north of the UK and our children come from extremely varied backgrounds. We are a lively, exciting and happy school, and our blogs show some of what we do.
The Year 2 blog is a place for children and teachers to post information, work and ideas. They can be in the form of writing, pictures, sound files or videos. Anyone can read the blog and can make comments, but these are moderated by Mr Sloan before they appear on the blog, so that nothing inappropriate will show up.

Wow – what great work you have done Year 2, really liked the music game! Hi kids. I really like your year two blog. It is very interesting and it shows you many wonderful things you are learning and sharing with the world. This is impressive! I have played in the swimming pool and had a lot of fun.

The weather here is really sunny. When we got here there was lightning and my uncle’s car was very hot.

Two nights’ ago we had a big storm. It struck our lightning pole.
We had forks of lightning and flashing figures. It was raining a lot.
The lightning lit up the room so we could see it.
The lightning caused a power cut and the lights went off.
p.s. Should the word lightning have an e in it ?

I’ve just started blogging with some year 10 boys who don’t like school much but have joined a special program where they will build a garden for our school – you might like to visit the blog and give them some tips! I am really envious of you Year 2 and wish I had chances to do this when I was at school. Unfortunately electricity had only just been invented (so my son Jamie tells me).

A few days later we read a book called THE BOY WHO CRIED WOLF!the little boy name was Harry.He came to visit our class room he said to my teacher… YOU LOOK STUPID!to miss turner he is very rude and very cheeky.Mr.sloan heard the phone ring in the staff room and mr. sloan anserd it.A posh apperd and it said a nother visiter is coming to see you ,but he wanted good behavia other wize he will snap you!I think it is the W.O.L.F.Iam a little bit worried because i think he is going to gobble me up!.by palvasha.

I just wanted to tell you how fortunate you are to have Mr Slaon as a teacher who opens the world to you by giving you these great opportunities to share your knowledge and communicate with each other. So I would like to encourage you to use this blog in a creative way and show the world what you can do. I am a teacher from Germany but teach older students from 16 on, If you like to communicate with kids of your age from Germany let me know and I can try to find a class for you.
