This week we have been looking at Martin Luther King Jr’s most famous speech where he talked about his dream for the world.

We have learnt that things have become a lot fairer because of Martin Luther King’s powerful words. He was able to convince people to change their ways by the amazing things he said. We talked about what it was that made his speeches so influential.

Now we are thinking about what we think needs to be improved in the world – our dreams for the future. We tried to use powerful words and sentences. Here are a some of our starts:

Raaida says:

I have a dream that people would stop fighting and killing each other so that we can live in peace together. People are dying because they are fighting for what they believe in , but that is not good.

Amy says:

My hope for the future is that all people should have enough cash. Some children can’t go to school and they don’t learn to read or write and they don’t have enough money for toys. All people should have enough money to have homes. How would you like it if you didn’t have a home? Would you be happy or sad?

Zain says:

I have a dream that people would look after the environment and stop dropping litter. I have a dream about looking after our world. We want to make our world better.

I can’t wait to hear them when they’re finished and recorded! Could you help them to improve their work, or suggest some more sentences to them?

Martin was a very good person because he made the world a better, fairer place. He helped to change the laws in the USA so that black and white people would have the same rights. Anyway i wanted to talk about him because he was a very famous and smart thats why he made a very long speech to all of the people that support him and belives in him.In 2JS we have been writing about him in the Ash group i’m in the group aswell. He was married to a woman called Coretta Scott.

A woman called Rosa parks was in a bus travilling somewhere the only rule was that black people had to go at the back, and all of the wite people at the front but she wanted to be brave so she made up her idea and sat at the front!then the police came and arrested her.By Palvasha.
