Planet Earth – Non Chronological reports by 2JS

Posted by Mr Sloan on 16th July 2009

In the past few weeks, 2JS have been researching information about our planet. They have used a wide range of books as well as the internet to find out interesting and important facts, as well as pictures to illustrate their reports. They had to choose their own sub-headings and write other features of a non-chronological report including glossaries. They used Microsoft Publisher for the first time to put their reports together. What do you think?

The children worked independently on their posters, and were not helped with their spellings, the content or how they chose to set them out. What makes them easy or more difficult to read? What information would YOU put onto your own poster? 2JS Class assembly

Posted by Mr Sloan on 13th July 2009

We did it! One week until the summer holidays, but weren’t the children great! I am really proud of all of the children in my class, and really sad that they will be leaving on their own voyage into Year 3. Good luck 2JS!

Please tell us what you think of our assembly. What were your favourite bits? What could have been better?
If the video keeps stopping and starting, it is worth “buffering” it for a few minutes first. Press play, then press pause and wait a minute or two. This lets the video load up a bit before you start playing it.
