This week the children in 2JS chose a fairytale they enjoyed and re-told it. I didn’t give them any help! Here are three examples. What do you think? I’m sure the authors would love to hear what you enjoyed as well as what they could improve on.
Now for Emily’s. Now Emily decided to change her story quite a bit, but I think she did a great job of staying close enough to the traditional version whilst still being VERY imaginitive! Can you tell which story she changed?
What can we say? We are very proud of ALL the children in our class! They have worked extremely hard and we hope that you enjoy watching this short film as much as they did making it!
Now sit back and enjoy, but beware of the Giant!

Woo Hoo! It’s finally here. Well done to all the children in class 2HD who have worked incredibly hard over the past five weeks. Sit back and enjoy your version of Jack and the beanstalk. Please let us know what you think if you get a chance to look at it during the half term holiday. From Miss Douglas
The children in 2AT will be putting the finishing touches to their ‘Jack and the Beanstalk’ video this week! It’s all very exciting. Here is a sneak peek at whats to come!

Wow! It’s done. I’m ready for a good night’s sleep and our film is finished. Well done to all of my wonderful class for producing something truly amazing for their age.
We premiered our film to some lovely children from 1KJ this aternoon, and they seemed very impressed. We talked to them before the film, sharing how we made our film. They had some great questions and I was very impressed with the way in which my class looked after the little ones! Here are some photos of the afternoon.
You will have to wait another hour or so for the full video I’m afraid! Keep checking…
I think it’s fair to say that we all know the story of Jack and the Beanstalk now… At least, I HOPE we do! We have had beanstalks coming out of our ears for the last 5 weeks, and are very nearly finished with our project. On Friday we will be putting our videos on the blog.
In the meantime, have a look at this fab video made today. What do you like about the way in which she re-tells the story? What is it that makes it so exciting and interesting? Leave a comment to let us know.
Wow! What a lot of hard work we have all done in the last few weeks. Today we finally finished and photographed our storyboards which means that we can start editing our film tomorrow in literacy. We don’t want to give too much away before our film premiere on Friday, but here’s a sneak peak at our storyboards without the characters… I am incredibly proud of the work which 2JS have been doing. Well done!
Can you see the characters perched up on out whiteboard too? It looks as though they all sorted out their differences in the end!
